WeGO is very pleased to announce that Seberang Perai, Malaysia has been selected as the final beneficiary city of the WeGO e-Government Feasibility Study Project 2016!
Seven WeGO members submitted their applications for the WeGO e-Government Feasibility Study Project 2016, and the beneficiary city was selected by the WeGO Secretariat in consultation with the Selection Committee, considering a number of selection criteria such as relevance with this year’s theme of “m-Government”, alignment of the project with the Government’s ICT strategies and vision, expected outcomes, local support to the Project Consultants to be provided by the city, and the city’s commitment to the post-project implementation.
It is with deep regret that despite receiving well-written proposals, the remaining applicant cities could not be selected as beneficiary cities for this year’s Feasibility Study Project. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all cities for their valuable participation, and we look forward to partnering with all of you at another time.
The WeGO Secretariat will now be recruiting and selecting the IT/Project Consultants for the WeGO e-Government Feasibility Study Project. The Project will kick off in mid-September and will run until the end of the year pursuant to diverse methodologies including site visits to Seberang Perai.
